ADNDRC is pleased to announce that Hong Kong Lawyer (the official journal of the Law Society of Hong Kong) has started to report ADNDRC domain name cases on regular basis in its “Cases in Brief” column.
The coverage of ADNDRC domain name cases aims to provide IP lawyers and brand owners with regular update on rights protection mechanisms under different ICANN’s policies and highlight new issues and trends in domain name dispute resolution.
In a recent case reported in the September issue, the parties resolved their disputes concerning the registration and use of a new gTLD in bad faith via ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). For details, please refer to the online version of the case in brief at
This demonstrates that UDRP is an effective means for resolving new gTLD disputes, as an alternative to Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS).
More ADNDRC cases in brief will appear in coming issues of the journal. Please stay tuned with Hong Kong Lawyer and us for updated information.
